Activating Your Ability to Receive

In a recent Akashic Records Reading I had a client who had a laundry list of complaints with life: unhappiness, money problems, romantic problems and a sense that he would prefer to be doing more meaningful work.

When we accessed his records, his guides made it very clear that his problems related to unhealed traumas with his mother and feminine energy in general.

Receiving is a 'Feminine' Energy #

Yes, you read that right. Receiving is energetically feminine. So when you have problems with that mothering, nurturing, receiving energy it can manifest in all sorts of problems in your life.

Masculine energy is the energy of action and intellect, feminine energy is the energy of receiving and emotion. Masculine is energetic, feminine is magnetic. So our ability to 'magnetize' or attract that what we desire is directly connected to our ability to channel our feminine energy.

Testing your ability to receive #

Here's an easy test to see how well your receiving is working. Take a few deep breaths and get into a meditative state. Imagine an electric cord coming out of your belly button with a plug. Now give that to your mother and ask her to plug it in. How do you feel? Was this easy or hard? Can you visualize yourself giving and receiving with ease?

Healing your relationship with your mother #

So if you didn't experience a sense of ease and love that means you have some healing to do with your mother. Our birth mother is our source of nurturing and love. If we see that mother as less than perfect this is a lesson that your soul needs to learn in this lifetime. No matter how terrible you think your mother was, she did the best she could.

Your job is to forgive your mother and accept her exactly as she is, letting go of all judgments.

Integrating this learning #

Often when we experience difficulty receiving things we would like, such as relationships, money or jobs, the root problem isn't actually that which we desire to receive but something deeper and apparently unrelated. Typically this is related to receiving love from our mother, but of course your individual dynamics may be more complex.
