Money and Spirituality

For many of us with spiritual inclinations money can be a problem for the simple reason that many religions have supported the idea that money is a source of evil or is somehow incompatible with spiritual growth. These beliefs are deep-rooted in many religions and independently of what you may consciously believe it's likely that at an unconscious level these wealth-limiting beliefs are deeply rooted in your psyche.

In addition, as we grow towards a more loving view of the world it can be easy to become judgemental of wealthy people whose beliefs clash with our own, perhaps forgetting that there are plenty of people with resources who are contributing to the betterment of mankind.

It's useful to remember that money itself is neutral, it's simply a mechanism for the exchange of energy in the form of goods and services. Money is a multiplier in many cases, whether an individual's intentions are progressive or regressive, money can help multiply those intentions. Good people are able to use money for good, and having more money allows them to do more good.

If you're reading this you may wish to reflect upon your own belief system regarding money. Are you unconsciously rejecting living more comfortably in a misguided belief that this somehow contributes to your spiritual well-being? Picture yourself as a rich person just like those you admire- are you comfortable in that skin or not?

Have no doubt that the universe is infinitely abundant and God desires that you have the resources to live a full life, the question is whether you are prepared to receive that abundance?
